Plato said that art is three times remove from the truth. The idea was opposed by Aristotle. He said that it is true that art is three times remove from the truth but the essence is not lost.
Aristotle is trying to point out that the very reason why a certain thing is made is not lost. A distinct example is the movie “Tuhog.” It is on the third level of imitation but the idea or the story that the girl was raped by her grandfather is still present. There are some modifications made and some of the scenes are sensationalized and enhanced. Taking a part of the movie, let us talk about the artist who took the main roles in the movie. (Since, it is a movie inside a movie, to make it easier and not so complictaed I will just take note of what happened in the movie.) Ina’s role was played by Klaudia Koronel in the movie. Of course, they have different personalities, ways, figures, experiences and many more. But what Klaudia is portraying in the movie is the experience or the personality of Ina.
More and more, the director want to make it a bold film that is why it appeared to be pornographic. The movie came up to be very different from what have happened in the real life but the main idea is not lost.
